Take me there

Free People May Catalogue
Oh what i wouldn't give to be here right now! This is such a beautiful campaign shot in Hawaii featuring models Tallulah Morton and Elsa Hosk. I think my favourite has to be the first and last, what are yours?

Sun & Sheer

Wearing: H&M sheer maxi dress, Aldo feather sandals, Primark floppy hat and mums in first photo (couldn't make up my mind)
Various jewlery - Ebay, H&M, Markets

I have made it safely and am now in beautiful Egypt! I cannot believe how hot it is! I have never experience this heat! We have had a lovely time so far, the staffs at the hotel are lovely and it is the biggest room I have stayed in!
On Sunday I get to go camel riding and star gazing, which I cannot wait to do! Hopefully I can get some nice pictures in the desert. I have already seen a few camels, the weeks running up to this holiday I got a bit obsessed!

This kind of outfit is what I have been spending my time in, sheer cover-ups that can quickly be taken off to jump into the pool! And of course a bit of trusted turquoise which as you all know is my favorite!

| Leather Pencil Skirt |

Blouse and Skirt: H&M, Wedges: Aldo, Watch: Michael Kors, Necklaces: Forever XXI, Earrings: Betsey Johnson

My favourite pencil skirt recently kicked the bucket (hey, clothes can only last so long, right?), so I decided to buy a new one. I wanted to originally buy just a simple black pencil skirt, but opted for a more intricate pleather skirt. I love the results!

I will admit that I'm most likely gonna go out and buy another pencil skirt, hopefully a basic one. But I just couldn't pass this baby up, it's too cute and I haven't seen to many pleather pencil skirts around. I love basic clothes that have an edgy twist. So this isn't too crazy of a design for a skirt, but the fact that it's pleather takes it to the next level.

I've been into really cute jewellery lately, so I picked up these pieces from the store of cuteness (not a word, is it?), Forever XXI. I love the small perfume bottle with it's tiny little rose and the tiny cupcake. Too cute.

I paired this outfit with what are the comfiest heels I own, wedges from Aldo. If you look closely you can see that they have a patent leather accent, it adds a really edgy touch to the shoes.

Have you ever tried to buy a basic, but gone for something a little more out there? Maybe a pair of black pumps, but ended up with some platforms ?

Spring Colours

I walked into H&M and fell in love with several pieces from their Spring Collection. Bright colors, feminine cuts, floral prints, girly silks - it was exactly what I was craving. I picked up this canary yellow top with adorable scallop cut layers and a tangerine floral print scarf.

Top, Scarf and Clip: H&M, Jeans: A/X, Brogues: Aldo.

Now that Mr. Groundhog has let us know that Spring will be coming early this year I am even happier I bought them (my new top isn't exactly warm).

Scallop cuts are beautifully feminine and I have been wanting anything with that cut, so when I saw this top, I knew I had to get it.

Tangerine and other shades of orange are definitely in trend this season. This scarf and its sweet floral print is a keeper.

I wore one of my favorite feather hair clips from H&M. I think the reason why I love feather hair clips is because they are fashionable and functional.

So...my boyfriend says that my top makes me look like Big Bird. I actually kind of have toagree, I love it and all but the canary yellow and scallop cut looks too much like feathers. Oh well, I always loved Big Bird anyways :)

Panamas

Shoes: George (borrowed from sister), Jeans: Armani Exchange, Cardigan: Club Monaco, Waist Belt: Club Monaco, Jacket: bought in Argentina during a visit, Panama Hat: Club Monaco, Purse: Armani Exchange.

This Spring and Summer 2010, Panama hats have been largely in style. Although the Ecuadorian hats were originally made from straw, the hat itself has evolved. Many people identify the hats as Fedoras, which can be made from a number of materials.

I bought this hat from Club Monaco after drooling over one of their hats for months. When I wear it, people from all walks of life ask and compliment me on it.

Swarovski and Trenches

Trench Coat: United Colors of Benetton, Jeans: Armani Exchange, Boots: BCBGirls, Bangles: Vintage from Front & Co., Purse: Meena, Necklace and Earrings: Swarovski, Brooch: Unknown.

There is no doubt, that everyone needs to have a trench coat in their wardrobe. Whether it is beige, black, grey...or rainbow coloured, it is a must. I bought this coat from United Colours of Benetton three-years-ago and I am still wearing it.

When I was in tenth grade I went to Europe where I visited a massive Swarovski store in Austria. Everything..no, I mean EVERYTHING was encrusted in Swarovski crystals. Think: pencils, necklaces, figurines, boxes full of crystals. I bought the pendant below from the store and to this day, it continues to mesmerize me everytime it catches light.

This pin was a christmas gift when I was about 10-years-old from one a boutique that closed down years ago.

| Spring/Summer Flowers |

Top: BCBG MaxAzria, Skirt: Vivid by Hanae Mori, Shoes: Aldo, Purse: Michael Kors, Bracelet: Tiffany's & Co., Necklace: Swarovski.

I've been in a very girly mood lately, so skirts and dresses it is! Good thing they're also light and flouncy, making them essential to the summer heat. My mother gave me this vintage skirt and I immediately fell in love with the gorgeous print.

I soon realized that this skirt was Vivid by Hanae Mori, which is a designer I love and respect, what a find!!

I haven't worn my Aldo brogues in a while, but I thought they would look great with this skirt. I can't wait to pull them out for the fall which is quickly approaching us.

What I love about this skirt is it's beautiful shape. It's very fitted at the waist, but becomes so voluminous towards the bottom. It just makes me want to spin around in circles. I also Love the delicate flower print which reminds me of the spring and summer, seasons that I am sad are soon to end.

My Love Affair With Jewellery

This is the first in a series of posts where I share with you my favourite pieces of jewellery. I'll be sharing everything from expensive pieces to pieces that I purchased for $2.99. The first pieces I am sharing are my favourite Swarovski earrings and a little high-heel brooch I've had for years.

When I was ten-years-old, I saw this brooch in a cookie cutter boutique and I begged my mother for it. I've had it ever since and I appreciate it more and more every day. It's one of my favourite colours and I love the little Austrian crystals.

I was given these Swarovsi earrings for Christmas a couple years back and I really cherish them. They are very small earrings that I can see myself wearing now and many years in the future. Swarovski is my favourite brand of jewellery, the opulescent shine has always been my favourite.

What's your favourite jewellery brand?

In this series of posts where I showcase my large and constantly growing jewellery collection.

Next I am showcasing my Tiffany's bijoux. I only have two pieces, but they are classically gorgeous!

I was gifted this gorgeous sterling silver bracelet when I graduated high school. I love how my cousins had it engraved with my initial and the year of my graduation, I think it adds a beautiful personal touch to it.

I was gifted these earrings for my birthday a couple years back. I really admire their classic design - over the past few years, hoops have come in and out of style. I have really come to appreciate smaller sized hoops, they have a very classic and streamlined appeal to them.

So there you go, another two pieces I've shared with you. I seriously think it will take me forever to show off all the pieces I have! (poor me :P).

Now I am showcasing what is possibly one of my favorite pieces of jewellery, a statement necklace from Club Monaco.

As you can see from this photo, it is a very long necklace, precisely the reason I fell in love with it.

It's a relatively simple necklace with two components: a fair amount of chain and rhinestones.

SO, what do you think of my exceedingly long statement necklace?
